Transition of Death
I have absolutely no fear of death. From my near-death research and my personal experiences, death is, in my judgment, simply a transition into another kind of reality.
Why A Death Doula?
As a certified death doula and certified caregiver I offer a variety of unique emotional and logistical services to both the person who is transitioning and family members. My job consists of helping with logistical planning, emotional support, companionship and herbal support.
Rates:
Items with an (*) are a package price, all other services are hourly. Most services are $35-50 per hour. Please book your free 30 minute consultation to discuss specifics. I accept donations for my charity fund to provide services to the underprivileged. Know someone underprivileged who needs my services? Contact me to get on my waiting list. I take on 1-2 charity clients at a time.
Free 30 Minute Consultation:
Let's talk about your situations and how I can support you as your approach this important stage in your life. We will discuss your situation and what you want for yourself and your family as you or your loved one passes on.
*Caregiver Spot Check:
As a licensed caregiver and experience as a lead caregiver I know that sometimes families are not truly in the loop as to what is going on with their family that is provided care by a service, private caregiver or facility. I have experience assessing and looking for issues and can provide information to family members of the level of care and dignity being provided to the elder in care.
Elder Care:
Lifting, turning, bathing, companionship, medication reminders. \Providing licensed caregiver services.
Support and Comfort:
Primarily companionship and emotional support to the terminally ill or elderly. No lifting or medical assistance. Providing a warm listening presence to process what is to come.
*Advanced Care Directive Assistance:
Assist with setting up advanced directive, providing encouragement, support and paperwork while you decide details of how you want your final days to be and support in sharing these wishes with family. Package includes up to 10 hours of assistance, $30/hour after 10 hours has been hit.
Respite Care:
Take a break and leave your loved one in qualified, licensed, compassionate hands. Rate is dependent on level of physical care.
*Post Death Household Organization:
Cost depends on the size of the project. No heavy lifting or scrubbing is included. Help organize belongings, donate to charity, package sentimental items.
Mourning and Post Loss Support:
Support for family after loss, practical and emotional support, post death arrangements if death was sudden or unexpected and no pre-existing plans were made.
Vigil Sitting Services:
Sitting with dying in case family needs a break or family unavailable. Holding space and providing comfort to patient and visitors. Caregiving services not included (no lifting or treatment)
*Vigil Planning
Services:
Organizing and making calls to set up around the clock vigil for those passing on. Making sure friends and family know what to expect and wishes of client.
